Institute Overview

-For the realization of a universal society through correct understanding of auditory function and communication-
The Institute conducts basic and clinical research in the fields of hearing and the brain, which are important for people to engage in social activities. We are also conducting research and development of auditory assistive technologies that apply the latest acoustic technologies.
In addition to widely publicizing the results of our research, we also hold training sessions to provide basic knowledge on hearing support and dialogue support technology to people in Japan and other countries, including those in Asia, as well as to foster human resources. In a super-aged society, the various effects of hearing loss are becoming increasingly important, as research results from around the world show. The Institute conducts research on various seeds and needs for communication support, and conducts surveys and research based on the basic concept of “social application of technology.
